Group holiday Planning for Bali

The Big 4-0 is approaching for Andrew and he has always wanted to mark the occasion overseas with family and friends. When discussing possible locations, Bali topped the list.

Why we chose Bali

  • It is budget friendly- we considered flights, food, accommodation and attraction admission charges
  • The weather- tropical weather all year round with a typical temp\erature of 29 – 30, perfect!
  • Its beauty – stunning beaches, lush jungle, amazing waterfalls and fascinating culture.
  • The mix of adventure and relaxation
  • Family friendly – attractions for both children and adults, along with a wide variety of food and easily accessible shopping markets

How to plan a group holiday

Group holiday planning for Bali can come with some serious people-pleasing pressures. This was definitely not what we wanted to enter into or to have detracted from our experience. So we kept it simple. About 6 months ago we set up a Facebook group outlining our plans. This served as an invitation for those who would work to join us. No obligation, no pressure.

From then onwards, we continued to update the group with our planning details. First, we shared our flight details booked through www.booking.com.

After some research, we later shared the resort we chose for the first week of our tripwww.Bintang-Bali-hotel.com. With flights, dates and destinations set, those who wished to join could plan their own details based on ours. The only fixed date planned is the evening of the big birthday celebration dinner at www.azulbali.com , hip hip hooray!!

Follow our adventure

Our family holiday will then continue exploring Bali. This will include stays in Ubud and the island of Gili Trawangan. Look out for our future posts on these destinations!
